04.30.09

Amber: Fun.

Ben: All I wanted in the World was to see the cracks for what they were and nothing more, but I'm not like that, and neither are they.

Morgan: What happens when photo kids hang out outside of the classroom? We start a bike gang and take pictures for fun...

Rachel: The biker gang takes a break with a picnic on the river rocks.

04.29.09

Amber: Friends over.

Ben: I saw past the clouds and knew how things were going to clear.

Morgan: movie day with photo people!

Rachel: Cantaloupe, chips, popcorn, and "brownies." We spend our "Reading Days" productively.

04.28.09

Amber: Feet and "wonky" chair leg.

Ben: "You're handling Buddhism, right?" Tim asked. Sure I told him, "Who's doing Christianity?" "The Atheist, backwards and bent-over." Ryan laughed. "That wasn't that good of a joke," I said. "You're right." "Yeah, but really, who's doing it?" "Me, I'll do it," Tim said. "Backwards?" "Sure, whatever, as long as we get an A." "Anything bent-over is A-worthy," Ryan said. "Yeah, we get it, you like that sort of thing. It's OK," Tim said. And so it was a consensus.

Morgan: After only 1.5 hours of sleep in 2 days, my notes were full of squiggles from me dozing off in the middle of writing.

Rachel: David was scared to eat these Fritos after I told him I bought them over winter break.

04.27.09

Amber: Produce section at Kroger; before being hit on in the cereal aisle. Ew.

Ben: "Was that a note she handed you?" Miles asked. "Yeah, dude." "What's it say?" he asked. "Not sure." "Open it." He seemed more excited than me. I'll confess, though, I was very excited.

Morgan: Printing in the darkroom.

Rachel: Uneven bricks on Pine Street.

04.26.09

Amber: Library.

Ben: I couldn't help but notice the stain, and then I wondered how long it had been there before I had noticed it, and what is it exactly, from where did it come, and the fact that it's red is slightly unnerving, just slightly.

Morgan: Even with tons of work to do, a cold, and sunburn, watching regionals was uber awesome. These next few days are going to be rough but I think it was worth it.

Rachel: Tchuca.

04.25.09

Amber: shopping with mom.

Ben: "How can you drink hot coffee on a day like this?" she asked as I sat, indeed drinking hot coffee. I thought, it's easy, and I wanted to say something sarcastic like, "Let me show you," but didn't, and after a coy smile I said simply, "It's nice I know, but in here it's a bit chilly and Hot Coffee warms me, and sometimes you need a good warming." She thought that sounded stupid and so did I; she said nothing more after that.

Morgan: Ultimate Regionals: Even though the VCU Men and Women's teams didn't make it to regionals, extra money in our budget gave us an opportunity to watch some pretty sweet ultimate games.

Rachel: Leaving the passport fair at the Ridgefield Ukrops. The family and I went to renew our passports and Becca decided to be a creeper.

04.24.09

Amber: Taking the trash out.

Ben: It's sad when the most interesting conversation I've had in a while is "fake" and on Facebook.

Morgan: Rachael, after pulling another all-nighter, did not want to get her picture taken. In all honesty, I wouldn't want my picture taken either.

Rachel: Arbys; Went to go take a picture of the dry foods storage area, without realizing my camera was still set for three stops overexposed. Oops.

04.23.09

Amber: It was all a dream

Ben: "I think she's about to cry," I said. "She's only nervous," she said. "No, really. I think she's going to cry." Emmy then looked up at the presenter, and sure enough, there were tears. "She's so nervous she's crying," she said. "Yeah, we should have bet. I'm short on change." In hindsight, I'm almost positive our conversation was not what Buddha had in mind when he spoke of Compassion.

Morgan: the spine that holds, binds, and supports the pages of notes.

Rachel: The best my poor little Panasonic point-and-shoot could do in the darkroom.

04.22.09

Amber: blood red just like it was flashed through my finger.

Ben: The closest I'll come to revealing more.

Morgan: Spending time with a slightly crazier Rachael. We practically share a room and I hadn't spoken to her in two days. Oh finals.

Rachel: Walking outside to check the weather, disappointed when I feel rain.

04.21.09

Amber: Horrible movie number one for the day, Kids was the title, and it brought my mood down, I walked out of there feeling emotionally and physically down.

Ben: His contemplation left me thinking and wondering, could things be more simple.

Morgan: Ever realize thats its the thought of all the work there is to do thats really stressful. Actually doing the work isnt; I feel accomplished and productive. But as soon as I stop working and think about the work I still have to do... stress returns stronger than ever.

Rachel: "As the sunlight passes through the fabric so soft, you can't imagine what goes through my thoughts." - Rascal Flatts.

04.20.09

Amber: the app.

Ben: Lost and mis-guided youth find themselves in formulaic mosaics, thrown then stapled together forming the pattern seen before passing.

Morgan: "WHAT!?"

Rachel: Secretly crossing my fingers that Morgan was gonna fall down while she was walking backwards.

04.19.08

Amber: 35mm are so tiny.

Ben: "Don't you have your camera with you?" "No," I said, "I forgot it, but I have my phone." "Oh it does that picture thing?" "Yeah it does, but it's shit." "Don't be so hard." "Sorry. It's just that I'm having a hard day." "Oh?" "Yeah."

Morgan: Admiring our apartment collection of Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners in our foggy shower.

Rachel: Printing in the darkroom with Amber. Sometimes you just need a good friend to vent to and spend the day with before you realize it's gonna be okay... hopefully.

04.18.09

Amber: Smells almost as foul as the actions discovered minutes later.

Ben: "The day is nice," she said. "Better than it was yesterday," I said. "Not better, just different," she said and then turned, "let's go for a ride." "All right," I said, "where should we go, because I don't know." "Just get in," she said, "we'll just go, because I don't know either." "That's fine," I said.

Morgan: After playing 2 hours of pick up ultimate, we decided that a trip to Chipotle was a good solution to our hunger pains.

Rachel: The typical Thriller move.
